Christians are people who follow Jesus' teachings. Also, if I'm not mistaken, "Christ" means "annoited one" or Messiah, Jesus is called Christ not because he was Christian, but becuase he was viewed to be the Messiah.

Jesus's actual name was Jesus of Nazareth. Christ was later added as a title to indicate that he was the Messiah. So no, he wouldn't have been Jesus Jew, and the word Christian comes from the title Jesus received. Christ was not a surname, like Jones or Smith.
And, yes, Jesus was Jewish. Christian is a word used to indicate followers of Jesus, the Jewish man.
Is that making sense?

Christ is the Latin word for annointed one... Annointed one in Hebrew is Messiah. All you are sayin when you say Jesus Christ is Jesus the Messiah. He was a Jew he was born into a jewish family and taught first and for most in the synogoges of the Jews. He said that his word must first go to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. The word Christian, which wasn't coined until after Jesus was lifted up, means to be christ like/ like the Messiah. All of the first believers in Jesus were all Jews... He is the Jewish Messiah... unfortunately many jews didn't and don't accept him as such...

Yashua, Jesus the Christ was of the Jewish heritage and of the Jewish beliefs/faith.
The word 'Christ' means Messiah.
The word 'Christian' means follower of Christ.
Common sense seems to be lacking.

He is a Jew. He was born a Jew. He came for the Jews.
Its just that Gentiles were grafted into the same tree,so to speak, so now everyone can believe in Jesus - including Jews.
