God has chosen us first, for the simple reason that he willed to create us before we were born.

But it is our task to *respond* to God and his offer of eternal life with Him.

God gives sufficient grace for all to be saved, for it is His will that all be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-4) - but it is up to each of us to respond to that offer of salvation!

In my experience, God is willing to offer salvation to those who want it. I don't know the exact terms of that deal, but am highly skeptical that only one religion gets "in" and all the others are "out."

Now, we can choose to REJECT salvation if we want to. I rejected the entire concept of God and was agnostic for my first 20 years. It was only a near-death experience in which I experienced demons dragging my soul off to hell that convinced me that God was real and ask for his mercy and help. The prayer was answered, and I'm still here nearly 20 years later.

In the bible it says, "choose ye this day whom you will serve". It is a CHOICE. Choose God and be saved. We are all God's chosen people. He chose us and it is up to us to accept Him or decline His offer. The ball is in your court = life or death?

We were chosen before the foundation of the world. Isnt that just so amazing?
God knew we would exist even before the world began.
God wants everyone to be saved it is just up to us whether we will let Him or not.

We are given the choice to accept Him, therefore we choose to be saved.

There is no irresistable grace. God chooses everyone but does not force anyone to come to Grace. We are free at any time in this life to accept grace or reject grace(even after we have accepted grace).

If someone hold a gun to your head and says "love me" would you mean it or say it to not get shot? My point is God loves us all, but hates our sins because it seperates us from him. We have free will to accept or reject him. Read romans in the bible. They were so messed up St. Paul had to explain it to them too.

God gives us the tools and we decide whether or not to listen and go to Him. It's our choice and if we do go to Him and ask for Him to help us...He will.
