Does anybody know a company in search of a LPN... in the Atlanta, Ga and surrounding cities area? I'm looking for a job as a lpn I just haven't had any luck finding one. Every hospital wants a RN. Please help.

I have been an LPN for 13 years in NY and have pretty much worked in geriatrics and a couple of years in homecare. The pay is pretty good in homecare--you can use them if you need a flexible schedule and if you don't have a tremendous need for health insurance. Nursing homes are good with pay, most of them are union jobs with good health benefits. Assisted living facilities, if you have them there, use LPNs as supervisors so that would look great on your resume--the only downside is that it's not exactly clinical work. Doctors offices are ok but they tend not to pay much and you could make alot more working in a facility. Good Luck!!!!

I'm an LPN in NY. What I can tell you is that many hosptials, in large cities, are phasing out LPN's. It's just the way the cookie crumbles. You're going to have to start looking in LTC or a doctor's facility. I'd keep your eye open for an LPN job in a hospital because every once a blue moon one will pop up. Also, trying applying at the VA.

In the long run, you should you go through an LPN-RN bridge program.

Have you checked the classifieds in the Sunday newspaper? Have you checked the website www.monster.com?
