Hi keven. How much are you prepared to spend. What type of speaker sound do you like (bright ,neutral, forward).Do you want 5.1,6.1 or 7.1 channels and do you want floor standing or bookshelf speakers. There are so many combinations available it is impossible to suggest just one.The best 7.1 A/V Receiver at the moment is the latest model from Onkyo and the rec.ret.price is only $299.00 .It is rated at 75 watts, continuous into all channels and supports HDMI. Have a look at the specs. and see what you think.

The Klipsch RF-52 Home Theater speaker set has an MSRP of $1844, but sounds as good as (if not better than) most $3000 systems. Most Magnolia Home Theater showrooms (inside many Best Buy stores) will have them on display for you to hear. Bring your favorite "big sound" DVD with you. You won't believe what you'll hear.

1 (one) Pioneer VSX-816K
3 (three) Sherwood RX-4109
6 (six) Pioneer S-HF41-LR
1 (one) MTX SW2

The "816" is just the PREAMP/PROCESSOR...Hook one "4109" to the FRONT two speakers, one for the REAR speakers and one for the CENTER and CENTER REAR...(this is only a "6.1" set-up)...The "SW2" is the powered sub woofer.

Use the same speaker all the way around, and don't hook them to the "816"...Hook them directly to the "Sherwoods"...Unbelievable sound for around $1,000...Try it and see for yourself.
