I would have to say apple butter is the best on toast, but if not then either strawberry or grape jelly/jam with a little bit of butter.

A nice british's breakfast, I would prefer butter than jelly because it goes along with my next courses like grill dover sole and finished it with a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
Highly recommended for American people!

normal peanut butter..but not together..
but i like peanut butter AND jelly instead :P
but i perfer goober.
its a brand of combination peanut butter and jelly stripes sold by Smucker's.

I like both but if I HAD to choose, it would be creamy yummy butter.
My grandma used to butter white bread and then put a thin layer of applesauce and cinnamon sugar on it. It was wonderful!

peanut butter yummy love it on a whole wheat bread the crunchy kind
also pb and J on saltines are great as well
and peanutbutter in ritz crackers
