Right now I would just apply everywhere. Anytime you go out or go shopping fill out an application and turn it in. Or just spend a day going around to different stores at a mall or shopping center filling out applications.

At 16 you're not going to get your dream job... you just need to get your foot in the door so you can let future employers know that you have working experience.

Haha... I got a job working for Dollar Tree when i was 16 years old. I busted my butt there and showed them i was one heck of a worker for two years. Now I'm working for State Farm Insurance.

Good luck!! :)

As you are still in school I would suggest checking in the guidance counselors office. Many businesses that hire high school students post with the guidance offices in schools. Another option would be to go to your local job center and check with them. Explain that you are looking for a summer job and would like some help on how to find potential employers. Most communities have free job centers where you can look online for a job. Also, word of mouth also works. Your friends may have some good suggestions on where to find a good summer job. Ask adults for their opinion as well. Your parents may also help you keep an eye out for possible summer jobs and would probably be willing to walk you through filling out job applications. Good luck.

Grocery stores like hiring teens and you could also try fast food places like Taco Bell or McDonalds.

Retail stores in your area, and local fast food places, are probably your best bets. Good luck.
