Honestly, THERE SHOULD BE MORE GUYS LIKE YOU IN THIS WORLD...we need to get you cloned...
I am from Latin America and where I come from, manners have always been emphasized no matter what you are doing. However, when I came here to the US, I was shocked on the manners of most guys. Guys do not open the doors, sometimes even slamming the door to the person (girl) behind them without even looking back, they fart and don't say thank you. Once I was in crutches and there were two guys who saw me that I was behind them, do you think they opened the door for me?? NOO!! The door slammed and had to stop the door with the crutches!! Very dissapointing..

There is nothing like good old fashioned manners. It is the sign of a gentleman. If a man wants a woman who behaves like a lady, than he needs to be a gentleman. It is all about having class. It is what separates the men from the boys. By the way, a classy woman won't consider a class-less man.

I love it when my boyfriend does this kind of stuff for me; however, I don't expect it from him. It's romantic and used to be a sign of good manners. That being said I've been known to hold a door open for a guy if I get there first.

YES! It may be "old fashioned" but trust me, its very becoming for a guy to do that. It makes him more attractive. It comes very rare these days, and it would make you stand out from the rest of the average guys. Yes, we appreciate little things like that. Its a little thing called R-E-S-P-E-C-T! =D

I do that because i kinda find it normal and a common curtosy to the girl. Also a lot of girls complain that stuff like chivalry is gone so when a guy does it they love it.

it's old fashioned in the sense that it began a long time ago, not that it's no longer appropriate or desired...many women appreciate such behavior, even those of us that aren't really "ladies" (ladies don't have any fun...lol!) do tend to be treated in a ladylike manner by the men around us. ☺

Many say that chivalry is dead, and leave it as such. Personally, I long for the time when gentlmanliness reigned supreme...
*sigh*
Please keep doing what you will. Your mother obviously taught you well.
