Read Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. He gives and easy to understand and read plan on how to get out of debt.
I have also read Suze Orman but she doesn't give as clear of a plan. Dave says. Step 1, step 2, and explains why.
Step 1: $1,000 to start an Emergency Fund
Step 2: Pay off all debt using the Debt Snowball
Step 3: Three to six months of expenses in savings
Step 4: Invest 15% of household income into Roth IRAs and pre-tax retirement
Step 5: College funding for children
Step 6: Pay off home early
Step 7: Build wealth and give!

Turn to the experts for answers; like Suze Orman and Dave Ramsey. They both have websites and books.
You can also learn a lot about credit and credit repair at some great communities online.
And I personally believe that you can turn to God for anything.

I've never had anyone to turn to, except myself. Hard work, sometimes two jobs, but good lessons where learned in not living beyond my means.

First of all, live below your means if you know you can't afford it. You can go to your parents or friends for the first time. You got to think twice spending. reduce spending. go to this blog, hope you can learn something from it.

I turn to my mom and her ever comforting shoulder which has held tons of my tears over the years. She helps me get back on track and correct my ways.
