I have been reading for some time now that John Travolta and Kelly Preston have a 15 year old autistic boy. I have read that they do not have him treated at all and they just give him vitamins. He is kept hidden. They refer to their little girl as a "princess" yet never discuss the boy. If he truly is autistic, then they could bring attention to this awful disease that is affecting so many of our children. Why would they be ashamed. I am told that scientology does not accept autism. If all this is true, then that is very said and John Travolta should be ashamed of himself. What kind of a religion is Scientology to treat a child this way? I know nothing about this religion, does anyone have any information?

We don't know for certain what John Travolta is doing for his son. You can't for a second believe what is reported by the media. All they care about is controversy, and the money it makes them.

My suspicion is that the boy is well cared for, since Travolta has more money than god. They probably downplay the Scientology connection because that cult eschews media attention, so you'll never know what that so-called "church" really thinks of autism.

What drives these seemingly intelligent actors and prominent people to join these utterly ridiculous groups is a complete mystery. Maybe it's to be part of the "in" crowd, maybe it's to sample whatever "flavor of the week" diversion people with too much money like to indulge in.

There are mountains of data that prove Scientology is nothing more than the latest scam. Who knows? Maybe when you've bought all the expensive clothes, cars, and vacations there are to buy, and partied in ever conceivable fashion with every big name celebrity, the only thing left to do is set aside every shred of rational thinking and join a cult.

Where did you get the information that John Travolta's son
Jet, has autism ?
You have got your knickers in a knot based on false information. Here you are accusing John Travolta and his wife of embarrasment regarding their son, mistreating their child.... accusing their religion, Scientology of similar acts.......a religion that you admit you know nothing about.
Calm down.
You are being stirred up by the media and deliberate misinformation.
I know for a fact that John Travolota's son is not autistic.
What the actual situation is and how it came about is
private personal information and none of your or anyone else's business.

Why so quick to cast stones anyway ??

I am a Scientologist and my viewpoint on Autism should be easy to understand. Do you know someone who is Autistic?

You have person who doesn't want to communicate, for whatever reason, so they don't.

I have met five or six people with Autism, to me they are just people who don't want to communicate. Most of them have responded but rarely have they initiated communication.

I have found if you use a Scientology process called a 'Locational', they come out of it a bit. Also I've found other Scientology assists help these people.

The bottom line is any condition in life can be improved, you just need someone willing to improve it and someone who is willing to be improved. Working with anyone who is ' "not normal" ' can be hard, although the rewards of helping another being improve cannot be measured.

Have you ever tried to help someone who doesn't want help? It doesn't work, you first need to have their willingness, that's is where Scientology comes in. Is Scientology for people with problems? No not really, but it is for the girl or guy in life that is dealing with problems.

Scientology gives able people ways to help able people.

Scientology believes in re-incarnation and when you come back you could be punished for the previous life by such defects. They think they keep re-incarnating until they life a perfect life or achieve perfect enlightenment. They promote them selves to ability to obtain god status by getting to a point of enlightenment.

So there son is just living out what position his spirit must have deserved for the previous life.

This is to my understanding which I will also admit is limited but this is based off of what a scientologist told me of some of their beliefs.

I don't know whether Travolta actually "hides" his son. I hadn't previously been aware of that claim and haven't checked into it, so I can't really comment on it.

As for autism, I've heard directly from Scientologists that autism DOES NOT EXIST. Yes, it IS absolutely true that they do not recognize the reality of this very serious and severe disorder.
