It's just the lefts way of avoiding the issue and assigning blame to the people of this country, rather than those who should be blamed -- the ILLEGAL ALIENS

Being against illegal immigration is not racist and those who say it is are just playing the race card.
The problem is that somewhere along the lines, our society somehow lost sight of the difference between right and wrong and you have a bunch of idiots running around thinking it's just fine to break the law if you have a "good" reason to do so.
Unfortunately, it seems the ignorant are breeding at a much faster rate than the wise, which would be why it seems that the majority of the population is insane. Just sit back and accept the fact that they're idiots and there's nothing you can do about it.

We are NOT racist when we are anti-illegal alien criminal. We want people to obey the laws! They are criminals because the are breaking the law.
Illegal immigration is not a racist issue. It has NOTHING to do with race. It is about the law PERIOD! That's just the term that the pro-illegals throw out when they have run out of arguments and they hope that we will back off.

Those who think you are racist should read this: It's a bigger problem than most people realize....
----
If you are interested in what Snopes says: http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/taxes.asp
So often, we get caught up in a debate over political semantics and end up ignoring the hard-shell realities of what we're talking about.
According to ImmigrationCounters.com, here are some of the realities that Flake-Gutierrez would airbrush out of the picture:
Number of Illegal Aliens in the Country
20,807,645
Money Wired to Mexico City since January, 2006 $22,213,001,672.00
Cost of Social Security Services for Illegal Aliens since 1996 $397,450,739,563.00
Number of Children of Illegal Aliens in Public Schools
3,958,789
Cost of Illegal Aliens in K-12 Since 1996: $13, 965,063,431.00
Number of Illegal Aliens Incarcerated
332,594
Cost of Incarcerations Since 2001 $1,398,127,429.00
Number of Illegal Aliens Fugitives
642,799
Skilled Jobs Taken by Illegal Aliens
9,872,838
Figures can trick your eyes. Take particular note that items 2,3,5, and 7 reflect BILLION not millions of dollars -- and that item 3 exceeds one-third of a TRILLION dollars.
Can you imagine how much it will cost taxpayers if we triple the number of Illegals entering this country!!
The next time you hear a politician use the word "billion" in a casual manner, think about whether you want the "politicians" spending your tax money.
A billion is a diffic! ult numb er to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into some perspective in one of its releases.
A. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
B. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
C. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
D. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
E. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
While this thought is still fresh in our brain, let's take a look at New Orleans . It's amazing what you can learn with some simple division . . .
Louisiana Senator, Mary Landrieu (D), is presently asking the Congress for $250 BILLION to rebuild New Orleans. Interesting number, what does it mean?
a. Well, if you are one of 484,674 residents of New Orleans (every man, woman, child), you each get $516,528.
b. Or, if you have one of the 188,251 homes in New Orleans , your home gets $1,329,787.
c. Or, if you are a family of four, your family gets $2,066,012.

I dont think it is racism, it just so happens that the illegals are foreign nationals and quite often of a different racial origin. Im all in support of restrictive immigration controls, its just the pansy acitivist types who call it racism, course theyd see it differently they had a real job which was then undercut by an eastern european acitvist who'll do the same leftie whinging at a quarter of the rate....id like to think of myself as a socialist but to a point. Common sense has got to come in to play eventually....i hope.

Just a convenient way of lumping all the folks standing up for the laws of this country. If I overstayed my visitors visa in Australia or Canada for example...my white, middle class, male *** would be on it's way back to the USA real quick !
Our goverment chooses not to enforce the laws on the books because illegal labor keeps the wage structure forced down, and illegals are fearful to complain. Much supported by the wealthy and big business.
Also, the supporters Like the catholic church like the ready made memebers to bolster their diminishing numbers in the US.
It is an odd coalition of forces using name calling and spin to misdirect the focus of making a decision of true immigration reform.
Believe me there are forces at play here which will could really marginalize the middle class forever.

What it comes down to is, the illegal aliens have no good reason as to why they are here. So when backed into a corner, they say anything to make themselves sound in the right. The race card is just something they use, so is a better life, and we are all immigrants, as is this was our land first, or God made the world for all of us, so we may live any place we want to. But we Americans need to remember, illegal is illegal, so they need to get out.

It becomes racist when certain people point out a specific culture making it seem they are the ONLy illegals in America. There are 12 to 13 milliion Latinos and Hispanics here, there are also 21 million of other cultures. Why do they get brushed aside and people pin point Mexicans. All latinos and Hispanics Aren't from Mexico.I had a personal encounter with an illegal from Chile. He came here via ship.Yes he entered thru a PORT.It was one of the worst experiences of my families lives.Have I let that experience make me hate All Hispanics or Latinos?NO.But I am for a reform that will get people in the system so they can be found easier if they commit a crime.Right now the police can't ask for papers or green cards. And even if they're told they can't hold that person any longer than they could a citizen for the same offense.Thereby letting them out to "disappear".No way will I stand by after what happened to my family and allow that to happen again.Bring them out of the shadows, get them registered, allow the decent ones a chance but send the bad ones right back to hell where they came from. They the bad ones won't bother to register so if they don't have the z-visa after a certain date it's automatic deportation. With the Police allowed to hold and detain until then.I wish we had that 2 years ago.Maybe my grand kids wouldn't scream out in the night if we had.

because they have nothing else to play for them coming here and breaking the law!!! if any one is racist it is the illegals, they are lower than low and can not come up with any common sense reasons for them even being here, remember these are people who run from their own countries instead of having backbone and fighting for their cause!! three things the illegals are good at, trespassing, using the race card and having babies they can't afford to take care of!! so they teach their children to be criminals too!!!

That is simply a political ploy for the government and others to try to turn 'amnesty' into being 'polically correct'. The Dems particulary are very well versed in how to change the meaning of words and try to make others feel guilty.
The guilt lies with the illegals and crooked politicians!

Opposing illegal immigration doesn't make one a racist.
But what is happening is entirely different. An objective view will recognize that the story isn't that simple--specifically:
1) the vast majority of the illegals are here simply to make a better life for their families--they are not "criminals" in the usual sense--and are otherwise law-abiding
2) the economic reality is that these people are going to be here--and our main concern should be to reform the system so that we can have a secure border and so that we can track these people.
3) attempting to deport 12 million people isn't going to work--so we are going to have to have some form of amnesty.
BUT--what we are hearing are things like: a)illegals are murdering thousands of Americans (false); they don't pay any taxes (false--and what taxes aren't being paid are going in their employers'pockets, not the illegals); that they are "taking ovr" (stupid and false); that they refuse to learn English (false), etc.
In short a long litany of lies and stereotypes. And those who are spreading these lies--like the Minutemen and the KKK, like the trash that made a ccriminal like Ramos into a "hero" for shooting an unarmed man in the back--ARE racists.
And--I'll guarantee you practically all of these fake patriots have broken the law themselves in some way--like driving drunk, etc. And that kind of thing actually puts other lives in danger--which makes it a far more serious crime--at least to any rational person.
