There are a lot of reasons that this can happen.
Get her spayed and it won't happen again.

There really is no exact reason just like people theis does happen. have you had her thouroughly checked by the vet to see if there is a medical reason.
I would also strongly suggest spaying I have found that first this can take a lot out of a dog and quite often it can happen again.

I think that you mean "re-absorb". When puppies die in the mother, for whatever reason, the mothers body re-absorbs the dead bodies. In other words the mothers body 'eats' the dead puppies I know that it sounds gross but it is nature. Otherwise the pups would remain in there and the mother would not be able to have puppies in the future. Following re-absorbtion there will probably be a green discharge from the mothers back end. I think that is enough because you might be having your tea.

The only person who can really tell you what happened is your vet.
Get your dog spayed. She doesn't need to have any more puppies.

Poor nutrition is the first cause that comes to my mind. Also she may have gotten and infection that just killed the pups and now her body is reabsorbing them. If you've had her to your vets then he or she will be better able to tell you why and what happened than anyone here.
Sorry for the loss of the pups.

Many will abort because of crappy nutrition. Don't knwo what you are feeding but anything from walmart or the grocery or local farm store is not good enough for many pregnant bi.tches. I assure you there WAS a reason. Spay her.

SPAY YOUR DOG!!!!!! You really do not need to breed her. If she spontaneously aborted she's not a good candidate to breed, anyway.
