Hi dear friends, I pray that you are all doing well today. And if you are an unbeliever and you are reading this, please know I bear no ill will toward you and hope you are having a good day as well. I wanted to share these verses with you all in hopes that they would bring some encouragment.
One of my most favorite verses is in Galations and was written by the Apostle Paul. He says, " If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ" Galations 1:10
What does this tell all of us? As Christians, we are not here to please other people, we are here to please Christ. I have to tell you, to me that really puts things into perspective. And I know that Christians really take a lot of heat. But, if we go over to Hebrews we read,
" The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What shall man do to me" Hebrews 13:5-6
How awesome is that, dear friends? We have no reason to be fearful or intimidated. The Lord is our helper.
I have to tell you,

Greetings, sister. Your first text made me sit up and think, as it had never struck me before that Paul used to be a people pleaser. I had always thought of him as independent and pro-active (the kind of chap who would seek out special permission to persecute Christians in order to serve God) and here he is, admitting that he was anxious to please men, more the sort of fellow who would obligingly act as an impromptu cloakroom attendant when a Christian was being martyred (Stephen). So many ministers of religion are pleasers of men and respecters of persons and I am grateful to you for mentioning this verse, which I shall be thinking over. Thank you and may you have a truly blessed day.

Love the question What this website has taught me is that there is lots lack of know-how with regard to the Bible and Jesus. i like to make certain the observe of love triumph over the dislike of a few and every time any real believer testifies in some way or makes use of the observe a seed is planted. Our interest is to hold the observe no longer provide a upward thrust.

I really like that verse in Galatians. You know, I think I will write that and the Hebrews verse somewhere in my book of verses I am trying to learn by heart and read it everyday and every time I worry about what other people think! Thanks, God bless and have a great day!

Hi "biggestjesusfan" (AKA: Cat),
It's so good to have someone like you give to us such love and encouragement. For whatever comes out of a person's mouth comes from his/her heart and your heart is obviously overflowing with agape love! (I know I'm loosely paraphrasing, but you know what I mean!) We need more encouragers like *you* in the R&S section of Yahoo!7 Answers! May God richly bless you, Sister!

Thank You so much. You should share more often. We all have different points of view when reading the Bible. Praise the Lord. Pray that person who are reading this will understand. ; )

Thankyou Cat!
Yes this has blessed me today.
To tie in with this it says in Matthew 5
BLESSED are ye when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
Rejoice and be exceeding glad, for great is your reward in Heaven.
I trust that this will encourage you too!

Thank You Very Much for that!
If we Please Jesus First, then we will know what to do and when to do it!
HE will Lead and Guide us.
Remember when Jesus said HE did'nt have any place to Lay HIS Head?
We can Rest (lay our Heads) in Jesus's Lap though Faith!
Enter the Promises by Faith, Partake of GOD's Nature!
Thanks for the Uplifting!
Ditto...............

I agree, we are not to idolize, worship or place on a pedestal any human above others...This is worthy of God, not sinful humans. For no man can kill me completely, though my life is his for the taking, my soul belongs to God.

i like your truth...bold and direct..and fully in christ..and i see the fullness of god, jesus, and holy spirit in you.
may the power..truth and love..help you exalt ALL that GOD is.
RMmartin2u@aol.com, i enjoy writers of confidence IN CHRIST..for at times, i need that..again.
NOW tell me, about your "FAITH WORKS"
for as you know..wihtout FAITH..works..our faith is DEAD.
we can be lovely, ect..but it don't cut the cords of satan..in others.
i would like a prayer agreement with you..who stand in love, faith and hope.
do write.
for it time for liberty.
for the bloody cross has already did it.
set me free..of blindness and deafness..and lack.
so preach, to my email.
thanks.
any other..like minded..do write.
logically they who are not of Christ, will not get a response.
