Do you have to be impressed or to impress others?

Impressions are a part of any relationship or opinion. While we all want to be noble and say they don't matter, they always do. I don't spend a lot of time trying to impress people, which is probably why I don't have many "friends" The people we are closest to have already impressed us with their integrity, personality, etc. and we impress them the same way.
