BFGoodrich g Force KDW's or the KDWS'ss would be my choice.
I've got a set of the 275-40/17 KDW's on my '02 Camaro Z28 and they are awesome. This being my second f-body(Camaro/Firebird) w/ the 98 TransAM being the first. Of which, I ran the over-priced Goodyear GSC's on the whole time I owned the M6 T/A. Now, the BFG g-Force is my 'performance tire' of choice. Just as good if, not better than the Goodyear's and not near as expensive;)
Good luck!

Most tire shops will have a good tire for you but it really depends on what kind of driving do you do..
There are alot of adds out there but a good place to look but you will have to spend sometime online to ck out www. tire rack.com
If you live in the midwest Bell tire, discount tire...
225 60 16 is what you have on there...
Good luck.

Michelin are the best tires to get, but are very expensive. For the money I suggest Goodyear

Get a set of those good year NASCAR yellow letter tires.
They handle well, even in wet.
They are pretty quiet
and they have real good tread life.
