My friend asked the boy I have a crush on if he wanted to dance with me. He said to her "I don't like her." When my friend came back, she told me that he didn't like me, but that he was around a bunch of his friends and he was probably a little embarrassed. Do you think he was just a little embarrassed because he was with a bunch of his friends and he was afraid they would laugh at him or do you think he really does hate me? IDK cause he looks at me a lot in school and walks near me a lot.

If he liked you and he is worthy of your attention and affection, it wouldn't have mattered who was around when your friend asked him. 2nd point...this is something you should have asked for yourself and a wonderful rebuttal (come-back) to an answer like "I don't like you" would have been..."I just wanted to dance, not go out with you. I'll find an intelligent boy that understands the difference between dance and date." I know that it hurt, you're probably going to hurt again in your lifetime over a boy, but stand in your hallway at school and take a really good look around...there's more than one out there and each one of them is unique. Take your time, weed out the bad from the good and you'll find a boy that isn't afraid to show that he likes you.

That is a hard question to answer, but I think the best time to tell or ask a boy, if he likes you or you like him, is to tell him when he is by himself. He will have more time to think about it and he will have time to open up to you. He won't be in as much peer pressure without his friends around. So give it a shot and ask him alone. Maybe you'll get lucky!

im kinda in a relationship like that, the guy wont admit he likes me to his friends but he will when its him and i, so if you talk to him alone, he might confess, but hes not worth your time if he cant admit he likes you and hes too embarassed. you and i both need to move on and find someone who's better for us, cus if you ever do get with him hes gonna be embarassed and wont talk to you and he'll probably be mean to you around his friends. well, sorry about the guy, i hope this helps and you can get over him and find someone who is more right for you.

most guys are nervous about girls, unless they have already dated. Most people should be asked out when the person isn't around. If he does a lot of things that are close to you it doesn't necessarily mean that he likes you. I have some guy friends and, we talk during running in P.E. It doesn't mean anything. I have felt that way.

from a uys point of view, ya, id say he was just a bit embaressed cus his friends were around... even though he should have no reason to be ambaressed... anyways... if he acts nicer to you and talks to you more in the next few days, hes trying to tell you without actually telling you that he is sorry about the dance and that he does like you

He DIDN'T say he hated you. What she said, he said, was, "I don't like her." It could have been that he didn't like your friend asking him if he wanted to dance with you. He probably wanted to be the one to ask you and she made him mad, so he didn't ask you at all.
Just look at him in the eyes and smile. (Don't stare). You'll be able to read whether he likes you or not.

well, all she asked was if he wanted to dance with you, that is not a crime, you don't even have to like someone to dance with them. he might like you since he took that as an opportunity immediately to defend his feelings for you. that was rude though. even if he was with his friends the least he could of done was just dance with you... that is sort of retarded.
