Do u bench 185 as your max? Meaning, can u only lift that once? If so, that is not bad, considering you can lift more than your own weight, but I wouldn't consider it good. I myself weigh 178 right now at 5'10'' and I lift 185lbs at least 15-20 times.. But then I have been working out for some years~

Bench pressing your body weight should be considered a beginner level of strength training. Congratulations on reaching the beginning of your journey grasshopper!
Start with about 80% of your max weight, for 5 sets of 5, 3 times a week and you will see some big improvements in the weight you can handle.

I always thought that if you could bench your own weight, that that was pretty respectable.

it depends on how old u are. cause iy ur below 25 then thats good.
