Microsoft Powerpoint crashes?

Question

when I open up power point i can Click here and it's fine

I've reinstalled it already I could probably re-install windows but I don't have the disks

The computer is made by Compaq
It's 2.5 years old
no cds

it's not the powerpoint files because I'm not opening any files

Lets start with your windows first.. I need to know the answers so you will need to let me know.

What Make is the computer?
Was the computer new when you bought it?
Do you have any CD's that came with the computer?
how old is the computer?

you should have a restore system (windows) either on the hard drive or on cd's

now the problem with power point is the files your trying to bring into it, may not be where they are supposed to be,,,

get back to me with the information I need and lets see if you have got your Restore files some where around

I do not know the version of PowerPoint or I would direct you to that site. Use the site listed and navigate to your product. If you have Microsoft Office installed it must be compatible with your PowerPoint version. Eventually you will be able to enter your addresses and be taken to the site for fixes. If you need to re-install Windows you can do that from the Microsoft site but be sure to have your license number which you get from Help - About. Good luck! I know it is not the easy message you are looking for but I use it and eventually I am able to solve my problems.
