It's not a belt driven turntable, seems like it's just being turned by the computer in the stereo. On the 33 1/3 RPM setting, it's spinning at about 35 RPM. It's just fast enough to raise the pitch a little, and make the music sound fake and annoying.

Does anyone know how to slow this down?
What if I put a resistor in there or something?

It does not have a speed control (just the 33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM switch)

The model number is DC-D6300

Thanks a lot

You don't give a model number so I couldn't look up specs. Does it have a speed control knob? Teac turntables should , I don't recall any that did not. If it does but does not have a built in strobe for tuning you can buy a strobe disk and strobe for it I just don't know where anymore except Ebay.
I assume you mean a variable resistor. Might work, depends on the motor and speed control.
