ok so.. last night this guy that i know likes me complimented me on an outfit he had seen me in. he was like "you looked so cute in your little pink sweatpants today." and idk why thats sorta sitting weird with me... is there something else he meant by that little comment ... or is it just what it says? haha thanks!

Take it as it was said, a simple honest compliment and leave it at that.

Not many guys are interested in discussing clothing the way girls and women do. If this guy has any self-awareness, that's a roundabout way of complimenting your body, or to put it more bluntly, telling you that you arouse him. If he meant to compliment your fashion taste, and he's not a dolt, he wouldn't mention the revealing nature of your clothes. He'd have said something like, "Pink is a good color for you," or "Sweatpants are just your style". That last comment doesn't sound like much of a compliment to me, by the way, but you get the idea.

He might have just wanted to express his attraction to you, or it might have been a more calculated baiting comment. By indirectly bringing up physical attraction, he laid the bait for you to say something about physical attraction, and what that implies. I can definitely imagine a guy thinking up that sentence ahead of time to see what reaction he could get, or as an effort to escalate the relationship.
