In fact there is only one philosophy in the world... i.e.Sanatan Dharma.
Other religion dont have that philosophical background..they just go by their book or what their prophet said.
On the other hand, hinduism has so vast knowledge in Sankhya Philosophy, Vedanta, Yoga, Tantra.. all giving different explanations of the mysteries of Universe.
Buddhist philosophy is nothing new, it is in fact extention of Sankhya philosophy, because buddihsm has branched from Hinduism

Hi, you might be new, but generally you let other people reply to your question.
Also, no offense, but which Hindu philosophy are you talking about? Which branch? Which school of thought? Vedanta? Shivism? Krishnaism? Vishnuism?
From when I studied Hinduism in college, I found out that not only were there many different forms of Hinduism, but that, more so in the past, different schools of thought would kill members of opposing schools of thought, making Hinduism no better than western religions with their factions and wars.
I mean no offense and I respect the rich religious tradition of India, especially since it produced figures such as Buddha and Ghandi.

We cannot say that our religion is the best in the world... all the religions are good for their followers... and nobody would tolerate any adverse comments against their faith...
If we are, Hindus let us feel pride in our religion that it is excellent for us…
The reason we love Hinduism is because it has based itself on humane values, compassion, decency, chastity, family bonds; respect for relations viz mother, father, brother, sister etc; culture, traditions, so on and so forth…
(However, I think all other religions also stress upon the same values… are not all religions same…)

Aasit
U have yourself enlisted the best features of our Hindu Philosophy.
I find a lacunae that it does not encourage / allow conversion to it from other religions. That is why our number is dwindling & other more aggressive religions are thriving @ our cost.

It is the truth.
It doesn't bribe you to follow it, IE - if you follow this religion you will be washed off all your sins, instead it says that you will account for all your sins in this life or the next.
When did God need to bribe someone?
It doesn't spread false pride by claiming that humans were created in the image of God, instead it says that how can humans be so arrogant to believe that God looks like them?

Without understanding ABC of philosophy and commenting on it because we are born to a particular religion is stupidity of the highest order. Any body saying he is the best is actually suffering from some complex. It doesn't do any good to us, even if Hinduism may be the best philosophy.

"It provides solution to every problem of mankind."
No, it doesn't provide the solution to mankind's sin problem. Jesus is the solution to that problem because He is the Lamb of God who laid down his life to pay our sin debt for us.
"It is flexible."
That's another way of saying that it doesn't hold to the strict standard of non-contradiction. The idea that two propositions that are opposite of one another cannot both be true.
"It is the oldest one hence time-tested."
The true test of a religion is "Does it lead to eternal life". Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one can come to the Father apart from Him.
"No confusion in anyway."
In the Hindu Vedas The Svetasvatara Upanishad speaks of the one god Rudra who creates and rules, and at the end of time, gathers everything up. However in the Creation Hymn 129 we read “6 Who verily knows and who can here declare it, whence it was born and whence comes this creation? The Gods are later than this world's production. Who knows then whence it first came into being? 7 He, the first origin of this creation, whether he formed it all or did not form it, Whose eye controls this world in highest heaven, he verily knows it, or perhaps he knows not.”

Because it worships a cow. The Hindu views man as a manifestation of the impersonal Brahman, without individual self or self-worth. In Hinduism there is no sin against a Holy God. Acts of wrongdoing are not done against any God but are mainly a result of ignorance.
