it might get a little dusty, but if it wasn't harmed it would probably still work. Whether the CD player would work is another matter.

If the years don't age the quality or function of the object. The CD would have to be resistant to anything that could make it sensitive to the surroundings. It depends on if the sun melts and bleaches it, and distorting the CD over the 600 year period of time! I don't know. I don't know how you would know...You should leave a note, and a protected, preserved record of some kind, for your prosperity to see if that is true, and then when they die, they can let you know in the life after theirs and your death! hahahaha! I don't know how you could find out, but that certainly is an interesting question!

1. After 600 years no human being will be alive in the earth, if the global warming goes unabated.
2. After 600 years nobody, if alive, will use CDs.
3. It will not work technically speaking.

The question may be would there be a device to play it. Right now we do not have the computers that read cards that much of the military data is stored on.
Casette tapes bleed through and deteriorate.

600 years, later there won't be any cd's or vinyl records around, no cd writers or record players either!! you'll have a chip implanted in your brain & you can project 3-D images through your eyes, comunicate via telepathy

No. The inner plasticity of the device would eventually be deteriorated by dust molecules unless its a completely sterile environment. And after 600 years I doubt there would be anything to play it on. ;-D

Yes, because a CD is a non-living thing.
It's only made of tiny shiny silicons.
