The removal of the US troops has to be done in conjuction with negotiations to end the violence. It is a carrot to be dangle in front of the Sunnis and Shias.

Any of the leading democratic candidates for president of the USA is in a position to do that if elected.
A democrat will bring credibility where Bush does not.

A democrat will bring the ability to bring Sunnis, Shias, Europe, the UN and the middle eastern countries to the table to negatiate a durable piece.

there is no point if you look at history all the country's we helped always turn on us every time so by helping them we are just creating problems in the future for are selves its just a way for bush to look good but everyone hates him and at this point we are loosing troops for no reason these guys and gals should be at home with there families in my beliefs if you go to war with some one you go in wipe them out and get out why spend all the money rebuilding the mess we caused for a country that was given fair warning we were coming and they had many chances to follow simple instructions if the people of Iraqi really hated Saddam so bad they would have turned against him a long time ago and killed him even his military would have turned one man against a whole country not so unstop able it sounds a little cold hearted but i was in the army and i know what these troops are going threw i have friends that come back from that place and they are not the same people after the things i had to do I'm not the same person it effects people mentally when you see your friends get killed in war or you have to kill anther human your never the same you dont know who to trust and who not to trust

We are there to help rebuild and help stabilize this country. We cannot go in and overthrow a dictator, decimate their military, then just walk out and say good luck with your Islamic extremist problems.

Having said that, I think that we should start bringing troops home as soon as possible, but we may have to send more over before being able to do that.

Our aim is to help Iraq, not harm it, but it's a complicated mission for a people with a culture very different from our own. It just takes time and a dedication to doing the right thing.

Honestly I don't see one. Militarily we have done all we can. It is time for the Iraqi people and government to step and decide what kind of country they want. I wish we never would have went in and just left Hussein in charge it seems to me they deserved him. Should have stuck with the devil we knew not created a nation over flowing with little wannabe devils.

Ask the democrats in Washington. They seem to think that the most effective way to end a war is by extending it. They have the majority necessary to not fun the war, but they chose to fund it.

It's all about the OIL.

Mr Bush wanted his funding and held his breath like a spoiled child till he got what he wanted. To not fund the troops is unAmerican he implied. Ok, you got your funding so more of our troops can die for the oil companies.
