Colitis is usually started with foods like gravies, some have allergies to corn, dairy products. I'm not say it wouldn't start it but, anything that irritates the bowl will trigger it.
You can see your doctor but, I would get some good "Y-Jelly from the drugstore to give you more lubrication down there during sex. Vaseline does not work as well as it's thick and holds various bacterias and floras like vaginal yeasts. And, now it's in flavors, believe that or not.
