I now live in the USA (originally from Yorkshire)...it is a requirement to have a 4 year degree to get into pharmaceutical sales. Just curious about the UK requirements. Back in 1983 when I left school, only a small percentage of people went onto University.

No, you just have to be able to sell .. of course it always helps if you have background knowledge about the products - so any sort of Medical or Chemistry degree would help ...

But when it comes down to it, the guy who gets (and keeps) the job will be the one who can SELL the best !
