Climate Change, Black particulate matter, Algore, and You..consider this plausible?

If you are over 40, you remember the smog over our cities back in the 60's and 70's. the smogs properties reflected the suns rays back into space which in turn cooled the planet...now, no smog and it's getting warmer..seems to me we need more pollution than less of it if we want to cool the planet. now follow me closely folks..what if we turn all our earthly belongings over to the stalinist pigs over at the u.n. to save the planet..we will want results for our investments right? cooler days and all...Do you think it possible that algore and his ilk could start re-introducing all the "black particulate matter" into the air out of our sight to cool the planet just to keep taking in money? is it not plausible? please tell me how i'm wrong in this line of thinking.

Trevor,..well maybe algore won't have to conceal that he putting "black particulate matter" into the air when he labels his toxic goo, "Al Gore's Magic Earth Cooling Seeds" and goes about cooling the planet off whilst billions of people look on and say "GARSH, ALGORE WAS RIGHT, IT'S COOLING OFF BECAUSE OF WHATEVER ALGORE AND THEM CHINEESE ARE DOING WITH THEM PERTY CLOUDS"....

I know you don't like the idea of global warming and climate change but the impression I get is that in the absence of anything to refute it you're going to extreme lengths in an attempt to validate your arguments.

Debates and arguments are not won by introducing extremist fantasies, they're won by introducing hard, conclusive evidence.

The notion that the planet could be polluted to the extent that global cooling occurs without anyone noticing is beyond even the wildest stretches of the imagination.

Re your edit. It is plausible to do and two such projects are investigating this very possibility but it could not go un-noticed. The effects would be clearly visible and anyone with a telescope or basic scientific knowledge would be able to see what was happening. It would be like dyeing drinking water yellow and expecting no-one to question it.

your wrong in the first respect that your not even asking a question, rather going off on a personal tirade about your feelings, which is cool but im unsure how to answer you on this. what i do know is that global warming does not just mean the earth is "warming" it is the change of temperature and weather to different extremes. for example we can see tornados and hurricanes in new york this season followed by a winter where it snowed two times. these weather patterns for new york are very very unusual and patterns like these will continue. when the weather and temperatures change drastically it has harmful effects on wildlife and agriculture. the answer is definately not more pollution and smog, not only does that harm the planet but it also causes environmental illness and ashtma along with forms of cancer. we should all take a look at our lifestyles and see what we can do to become responsible citizens and not just waste, throw out and buy huge v-8 cars for someone who is single. i dont know why everyone is making global warming a conspiracy theory for money, this is obviously happening go outside and look at the weather or the ridiculous amount of hurricanes florida will have this season, or the shift in new york from a colder controlled state to a warm and temperate state. its shocking to see the effects climate change and global warming are having especially on a global scale. also nowadays there is more carbon, pollution and soot in the air than ever due to the rise of other industrial nations, so what you are saying and proposing does not make any sense at all because all of that pollution if you were correct would be reducing whatever is currently going on and it is not. i do hope that you read up on global warming and dont just think it is sponsored by Al Gore because there are many other scientists, countries and people backing the movement towards efficiency, and climate change.

Throwing particulate matter into the air to fix things has all kinds of bad side effects, like to our lungs. Some have proposed putting sunshields in space.

But it looks to be a whole lot easier just to reduce greenhouse gases:

It is amazing how much people who insist global warming is a farce sound like children coming up with silly excuses for things they don't want to do.

Look at catalytic converters they convert pollutants like CO and others to CO2.
