My hair is dyed red and want it back to my natural colour which is brown. Rather than waiting for it to grow out is there anything i can do?
It is a perminant dye.

I have done all sorts of things to my hair but when I've really made a mistake I've gone to the salon. I once tried to go from white blond to dark brown and ended up like a tabby. The hairdresser stripped it out and recoloured and it was fab- colour so good I decided to keep it for some time afterwards. DON'T do it at home- not worth it!

i had very red hair (permanent dye) and decided to get rid. All you do is buy prelightener to strip it out then put a brown over the top of that. It still has a slightly reddish tone to it so i plan in a few weeks time to repeat the process, but it did work really well. I warn you it is scary when the lightener is on as your hair will go bright ginger!!!

RedKin had apparently put out a dye remover but I have no Idea how it works because when you have a permenant color applied, your color is stripped and then color is deposited inside the hair. If I were you I would get low lights in a brown color like your natural color applied all over so that the red would appear less and your regrowth won't be as noticable. Revoving Red on its own is difficult. It is easier to work around it.

No sorry, since it's permanent dye it won't come out until your hair grows out. Next time if you want to dye your hair a color I strongly suggest using the stuff that's not permanent to make sure you like it. If you do get the real permanent stuff.

It is permanent so that can make it difficult but try using an anti-dandruff shampoo even if you do not need it. They are so strong that they strip colour out really fast!
