Well, I just noticed that I've broken a blood vessel in my eye and it looks terrible. With all of my atheist partisanship, perhaps God is punishing me for being such a sinful, blasphemous boy. I still don't believe in any God, but what a coincidence!

COME ON, PEOPLE! I'm an atheist; I don't believe in God, I was joking. I certainly don't believe "God" is punishing me. I thought it was humorous that after all of the atheist rhetoric I've spewed this evening that this should happen. I was making light of it.

Christians have no sense of humor...

You're punishing yourself, allowing others to raise your stress level. Look at the words they write and know your audience and what they are.

: ) Smile, they're the one's with the real problems.

God doesn't make anybody do anything. Nobdy has an angel standing there, beating him in the head, telling him what to do. It is our own childish resentment about being told what to do that causes all the suffering.
God has been around a while. And He simply lets us know what things to avoid, in order to have an easier Life. Your blood vessel bursting is due to your own rebellion, creating reckless behavior. Either consuming alcohol and drugs, and allowing anger, or holding stress in, to disrupt your body.

Francis Thompson, "The Hound of Heaven" is his poem about an unbeliever being converted. The poem is for believers and will do little to convert anyone else.

Francis was a smokin' doper, really heavy into opium, and he may have seen a good many gods in his dreams, together with other demons.

Your punishment for rejecting God will come. Why rush it? When it comes you will wish that it was only a broken blood vessel.

Perhaps. Perhaps Satin is doing it. Or maybe just merely the sin that enters the world. There is no easy way to figure out the answer, friend.

I don't understand, How can you say God is punishing you and say you don't believe in him?
How can something punish you if it's not there?
I do believe in God but what you are saying don't make sense.

As it is in the natural, so it is in the Spiritual.

John 9:39 Jesus said, "For judgment I came into this world, that those who do not see may see, and those who see may become blind." 40 Some of the Pharisees near him heard these things, and said to him, "Are we also blind?" 41 Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no guilt; but now that you say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.

Stuff happens.
But if you want to believe that God is vengeful and singled you out, go ahead.
That is what faith is built on.
