We just bought a very dark navy couch for our living room-our walls are kinda cream with a yellow cast, and we have light maple floors.

When referring to the colour wheel... opposite colours, contrast well. Orange is opp blue so I my first suggestion is a mix of cushions in terracotta and creams. You could then use these colours in prints/paintings on the wall, perhaps with timber frames. Navy is a great colour to work with... another suggestion is greys. Grey is the new black and shimmery, silvery greys would look lovely with navy.

navy is a color that is close to black or brown that almost every color of some type of hue goes with it. Check out www. sherwoodwilliams.com & u can play w/ the room color adjuster.. B/c u can make u'r couch navy then try different colors on the walls as well as trim & pillows.

When I think of navy I think of tans & deep red or maroons for warmth. Greys r good for my contemporary. but then again.. there r sooo many HUES of those colors.. Ck the site out & have fun.

Sounds beautiful! I have been wanting to incorporate navy somewhere in my house again lately. It's really come back and I just love it! I personally love navy and tan, with beige and off white accents. :)
