I worked for an Attorney for 2 yrs, left him in February. He did not pay the previous secretarys taxes so she turned him in. She worked 10 yrs. He just got his license pulled. He was paying me 1/2 check & 1/2 cash (scum bag!) but I payed my taxes w/ H & R block. Am I in the clear? or will they come after me?

If you declared the 1/2 of what you were making that you got in cash, and paid taxes on it, then you should be in the clear. If you just paid taxes on the half that was paid by check, and kept the cash "under the table", then you are definitely at risk of being caught and assessed the original tax due plus interest and penalties.

You said you paid your taxes with H&R Block, but didn't say whether you just had them file for the amount that you were paid by check (in which case you could be in trouble) or filed on ALL of your income including the cash part (in which case you're OK).

From what you have provided it wouls appear that you would not have a problem. You may want to check with Social Security to confirm that he paid into SS for you.

first off it's called tax EVASION. not invasion. and second, if you payed your taxes and did everything by the law the no one should go after you. they should however toss that boss of yours in prison.
