I never had any monsters under my bed but I did have three younger brothers who liked to lie under there and stare me a lot.

snakes then and snakes now lol....somehow I still believe that a pillow laying next to me on the edge of the bed is going to protect me :)
Now that I have children, I think about this comedian that I heard on Last Comic Standing. He was talking about the Boogie Man and how he was afraid of it when he was younger. He remembered one time when he was screaming in his room and his dad came in. He told his dad about the Boogie Man in his closet and instead of comforting him like most parents the dad said in a very scared voice..."You didn't mention mine name? Did you?"...a few minutes later the boy laid in his bed scared when his dad come running into the room and said, "Can I sleep with you? The Boogie Man is now in my closet!"
I can really relate to that joke, because I still get scared about some things even when I am suppose to be comforting my kids lol

Mine is this man in a top hat, but he wasn't ever under my bed. He's just followed me around since I was little. He still does. He bites me sometimes.

A half man. He was actually a toy but thats what it looked like and one night i thought he turned his head at me, i started screaming and freaking out. When my mom came she tried telling me that it was the same thing that i played with during the day, i didn't believe her, eventually they had to take it out of my room for good.

Mine was just a hand...by itself. It didn't just use it's fingers to get around like Thing on the Adams Family. It dragged itself around using four fingers.

Lets see.... There was thsi werid creature, it was really scary, its hard to describe what i thought it was. But anyways I'd run into my parents room screaming bloody murder and saying that something was trying to grab me and tak eme under teh bed. & I had dolls & clowns in my room as a child and at night its like they took on a whole new form. In day light they were beautiful and my treaures but at night I could feel them staring at me and was convinced they were going to try and kill me. This was partly due to my cousin, which told me all dolls were pocessed like Chucky. My cousin was older and I thought he was just giving me a warning. It all went to my head and my dolls scared me to death. Years ago, one day i remember laying in bed late at night and woke up still half asleep and I looked over at my shelf and one of my dolls fell, but it was like in slow motion and to me, half asleep and young it looked like it was coming, kind of floating towards me and I let out a scream that could of shattered glass, i was utterly terrified. That was the end of my doll collection, there all in teh garage and far away from me. Ofcourse I"m not scared of them anymore, but i have no room in my bedroom and they'd just look werid with my decorations. So I kept them but I dont have to see their prying eyes lol.

when i was only 4 years old, one day, i was being very bad so my aunt snuck up on me and draged me under the bed.... but she put these fake nails on to make her nails longer, and then she got up and started laughing. then she said if i keep misbehaving the devil is going to get me.. ever since then i slept in a fetal position and still fear. i know it is silly. i guess that is one way to scare your kids into behaving...and to believe in God. lol...
by the way im 22. and my boyfriend said when we get married (2 days) he will protect me... then he laughs. wow..
