yes and when you took it out you should, by law, have recieved a letter telling you how to do that. If you have lost it, write to the company.

Yes- call the company up and tell them you want to cancel the policy, and ask them for the address to which you should write and confirm it. Then instruct your bank (again in writing)
to cancel the direct debit.
Seems over the top, I know, but banks are bad at cancelling DDs unless they have it in writing, and insurance companies will just keep taking the money if they can.
Only do this if you really don't need the policy though. I had in income protection plan for years, and resented every payment: Then last year I got made redundant, and it saved my life!

Yes, ring them NOW and cancel it. They will try and talk you out of it but it is a separate arrangement and can easily be cancelled. Payment protection on credit cards is a rip-off and should be STAMPED OUT I TELL YOU!

Yes it is.
I would recommend ringing them up to cancel and when they ask you why tell them that your employer is providing sickness/accident/life cover and it is no longer nescessary. I have used this in the past and it stops them from trying too hard with the sales bullshit they enjoy so much.
If you cant be bothered then do it in writing and then you wont have the misery of talking to them

It is possible, but they will go into high pressure sales mode the instant you ask them to cancel. In my experience, it is easier to transfer the balance to a different card and close the account.

Course you can!

I did, they will ask you, 'Why do you want to cancel it?'

I advised them that it was not worth having it because I will pay of the balance by Christmas!

Its not worth having insurance on cards as they will not want to hurry up with any claim that you make (GOD FORBID)

Hope that helps!
