there are over 1,700 items that affect your credit score -
and yep - too many hits show you are desperate for credit

how many - don't know - but yep - it does affect it

If you're shopping for a large item...car, house...then multiple inquiries within a 2 week period can be considered as one. If you have been applying for credit cards, these will each take 2-4 points off your score, and this will affect your score for about a year.

Not necessarily. If they are all for a mortgage or car loan, the credit bureaus realize you are rate shopping and bundle them all together as one hard inquiry.

It should only affect your score a few points but, you probably shouldn't apply for any more loans for awhile.
