In case it gets removed, the question was "If I become an atheist does that mean I can be destructive, irrational, and promote rape for survival too?"

whatever...........My agenda is that I want to debate issues of faith without resorting to this sort of personally offensive behaviour.

Dear Missing Link (how incredibly ironic it is that I a fundamental Christian am addressing the "missing link").

I find the question offensive. I find it offensive on two fronts.. One that it is posed at all, insert anything in there from Christian, which has been asked a number of times in a variety of ways, to Islamic, to Pagan, and so on. Any group or any person can make that sort of offensive accusation.
In my assessment it is offensive unless applied to say a group like the Nazis or Stalin's troops, or say Idi Amin's followers.

I also find it offensive that it was asked by someone posing as a Christian. There is none of Christ's love in it. It has the feel of someone like Fred Phelps who is not Christian.
Should it be posted?
In an ideal world (oh wait that is soon to come!) there would be no such questioning. But this is YA! And people are going to sling mud, particularly in this section.
I just ignore the majority of questions like that which are posted on as an hourly basis, largely by non Christians, aimed at Christians.
Sometimes this place is a real mud-hole isn't it?

You are assuming all atheists are destructive, irrational and promote rape for survival. What hogwash. Who tells you these things? My best friend is an atheist and she's very giving, loving, and will help anyone who needs it. She's not in the least destructive, but works on building homes for the homeless. She's been to New Orleans where she helped give out food to those in need. I have no idea why such a question would enter your mind? No, it's not acceptable, as it bashes atheists with no basis whatsoever. I am hoping this is a statement you heard rather than your statement. ;)

Not acceptable because it is too confrontational, unless it comes at the end of a discourse in which someone is questioning the basis of morality (not to be confused with legality) for atheists.

As I understand it, based on the concept of 'survival of the fittest' (I assume the questioner is equating atheists with evolutionists), anything is permitted if that is what it takes for someone to survive.

lmao, well it's obvious people didn't pay attention to the fact that you didn't post this or look at your profile to see that you are an atheist who promotes intelligent thought and reasoning.
I'm neither christian nor atheist, but I find that post extremely offensive.
Obviously, this person who claims to be a christian, has never read his bible to see how his god promotes rape, incest, child abuse and murder, treating women as property, etc..
This middle eastern god is the most immoral, megalomaniacal, sociopath ever written about.. if I can be more moral than a god, it isn't worth my time or attention.

Well, I have seen a question many times when atheists are saying that Christians are doing these all things and they can still go to heaven if they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

I think we should not have this kind of questions, either side.

Just because you do not agree with someone is not reason enough to censor them. Allow the dialog.

its got nothing to do with being christian...any decent human being would be appalled...christians are not the only ones with morals!
