I believe the same way and if you know in your heart that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and you truly love him and ask forgiveness for your sins then you are doing the christian thing .

I think u r too caught up in what the church claims is sin. They want u to feel bad about what u have done and guilt u back into church or else u will go to hell. Do what you feel is right no one can make u do or feel anyway that u do not want to. I personally don't believe in god but if u do that is great i would suggest another religion that is not just a copy of others and hypocritical in their judgments. Everything that is against christianity is the devil to them, paganism is a good one but u may have a negative prejudice against it because for so many years christianity has claimed they worship the devil.

He accepts that you love Him in your own way, but His offer comes with instructions.

Sin is dealt with on the cross, if you love God and start over He will help you through your obstacles.

He loves you too. Pay attention what is His will for you.

God has created in us, a people for Himself first it was the Jews and now both Jew and non-Jew (or Gentile). He wants to renew the relationship that once existed in the garden of Eden between us (albeit breifly) and to once again enter into a loving relationship with us because He first loved us.

His word states that He is not willing that any person should perish. So why then is it, that according to His word many will perish and few will enter into His kingdom?

The root of the problem is mans sin. God is Holy and God is love but He is also perfect, righteous and just and because He is all these things then He requires that justice be done. God has from the begining of time judged that all sin would be condemned to destruction and because we are all sinful by nature, we are destined to destruction if we rely upon our own goodness, why? because we can not be good enough.

But there is good news, God has made it possible for sinful man to enter into that loving relationship with Him by accepting that God has already judged and punished our sin through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Because Jesus was without sin His sacrifice was accepted by God as payment for our sin. Jesus has redeemed us from our sin so that we can be saved from the punishment we deserve.

In order to enter into His Kingdom and into that eternal relationship with Him we must be born again. We must accept the gift of eternal life through Jesus and through Him alone, because it was His blood that was split for our salvation. If we are prepared to repent of all our sins and to place our lives in the loving hands of God through Jesus, then we will be cleansed of our sins and will recieve eternal salvation.

Because you are a sinner does not mean that God does not love you, in fact He loves everyone, its sin that He hates, and because He loves everyone, He has made a way possible for each and every one of us. That way is through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, there is no other way. Call upon the name of Jesus and be saved and then you will know what it is to love and to be loved.

Joh 3:16-18
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (KJV)

God also said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

Pretty straightforward, if you ask me. But God also knows that we all sin, and that's why He made it possible for us to repent, through the Atonement of Jesus Christ ("For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16).

That sin is what separates you from God. Luckily there is a solution. Repentance. Stop sinning, and refrain from sinning. Purify your heart. You will have better luck seeking God then.

the question is how will you show your love to God? you can only say that you love somebody if you obey him, right? it is written in the Bible all our God instructions how to be the His sons, all we have to do is to follow, .... Sin is a transgressions of God's will, read the Bible, avoid sinning.. Obey all the commandments.. that is showing God that you Love Him.

It comes down to how you define love. I think a simple definition of love is living in openess to and for another. If we are open to and for God, then when we act, we act thinking of God. The more you examine your behavior, the more you will see that you are not acting with God in mind, but yourself. That being said, God has bound himself to the world, to humanity. God loves us, and therefore acts openly to and for us. I think forgiviness is part of that. Keep asking good questions!

Peace
