well, there's always the fact that people are scared of the afterlife. I mean, they're scared that maybe they'll go to hell and all that. You know, suffer for all eternity and all that... Or maybe they're scared because they don't know what comes after death and all...

And people are afraid that death might hurt.

I mean, can you imagine yourself being burned to death? Or turtured to death? Yeouch... :D

Because you cannot change your mind, You cannot say I'm sorry, you cannot find more sins to repent, and last but not least, you are truly OUT of control., you have no more choices
and all those things, and money that people worship will go to someone that they really don't like,(ask A.N. Smith), because
you cannot take it with you. You will go naked before the Lord. I'm starting my diet right now,as soon as I finish this gallon of ice cream and chips, I've seen me naked, and I know that's a crime.

Almost anybody with any years behind them has pondered their mortality, and it's been my experience that most will audaciously claim that they are NOT afraid of death (particularly from 'quasi-brave' adolescents).

So then, everyone IS going to die,... and it IS a fact. Given that, what is there to fear?

I feel the answer to that lies not so much in death itself, but more in how one will go about dying?

Many will say that they "Don't fear The Reaper"...
...and, who knows, --- maybe they don't.

But deep down inside the hollow of everyone's soul, whether admitted or not, is the fear of His 'Scythe'... for no one knows whether or not it will be sharp or dull when Death decides to swing it at them...

The problem with going into nothingness is that it is illogical and unbalanced,we did not come from nothingness in the first place but from the hand of the Creator, and if God who is eternal and omnipotent thought of us at all then it is right to say that we have always existed in the mind of God.

We don't "go into" anything. Death scares people because they like existing, and they don't want to stop existing. They don't want to leave the party. They also don't like to think of how their deaths will affect their loved ones.

Death doesn't bother me, it is the one thing that is guaranteed to happen to every single one of us, so it would be pointless, and a little silly, to worry about it.

People and animals naturally try to avoid death because it brings pain. Pain and passing our genes is what keeps us alive. Enough said.

i think its because people dont know whats next. Its also the fear of not seeing your family again .It also depends on religion If you believe ing god you will think ur going to heaven and non believers go tho hell although there is no proof this is true.I dont believe in this so people like me fear wat if its true and we are going to hell.and everything you have like your possesions are left behind. My teacher said to me you come into the world with nothin and you leave the world with nothing , so this tends to scare people as they simply dont no what to expect.
