I went back to sleep this morning and had a dream, but there was nothing in it but complete blackness with a blue cloudy mist with a blob of purple mist drifting in it. If I concentrated on it, a weird distorted and garbling noise started up and I started building up a headache until it got so bad I woke up.

I used to have those up to the age of about eight, just with brief flashing sparks in the blackness instead of a mist, but I’d still have the noise and headache. I’m sixteen now. Any ideas why the headache and weird dream’s suddenly back?

Dreams are the one of the most mystifying things to explain. Many skeptics say that dreams can form from things you have seen or thought about, others say its your body's way of releasing stress, and then there are others that want to find hidden meaning in them. I believe that they all play a part in dreaming, and there really is not set way to go about understanding them. I can only recommend reading a book ab out interpreting dreams.

Actually, what you were seeing is the Lord desiring to minister something to you about an issues going on in your life. Your headache is related to something on your mind that won't let you hear the Lord's voice clearly. The blue cloudy mist you saw is the anointing of God and His power to bring healing and comfort. The blob of purple represents the royalty of Christ. The garbling noise was probably the Lord talking to you, but whatever is going on in your life, you are not able to clearly hear his voice, because something in your life won't allow you to discern His voice. If you have this dream again, it may sound crazy but allow yourself to open up to the Lord. What I mean is this, before you go to sleep prepare your heart and mind to welcome Him. Keep that mind set until you have this dream again and see what happens.

Dreams are a reflection of how we percieve ourselves/the world. They can be helpful. Many dreams are what I call "Dream Junk". Good for nothing except chasing your tail. I have found that the mood of my dreams reflect my mood in reality. Don't make it too mysterious, dreams are just the product of a mind that acts much like a screensaver.
