I don't reccomend customers attempt repair on r-134 or older r-12 systems because proper procedures need to be followed to capture and recycle the refrigerant. At Nissan mechanics have $1.000's of tools UV-Lights and leak detectors plus a $4,000 dollar dealer owned recycling machine.

He's right. your gonna want to find out if you have a Leak first. You can go to your local Auto Parts Store and find a kit they have for finding leaks in your system. Just be Careful when Working with Refrigerant. Hope this Helps. Thumbs Up?

On the low side of the compressor, which will be the only place the adapter hose will fit. But before you do, fix the leak. This is something best not done as a do it yourself job, the refrigerant is dangerous to work with.
