One word: Melatonin.
If you're not sleeping, your body might not be producing enough melatonin at night to help your body rest.
First, do something to relax, like take a relaxing bath. If you don't like wallowing in filfth, take a shower first, and THEN a bath. The idea is relaxation.
Next, get a 3 mg melatonin tablet, and chew it up. Tastes like chalk, so get something flavorful to drink it down with. Find it over the counter where herbs are kept.
Third, go over to the bed with a SHORT story book or magazine, a pad, and a pen/pencil. Lay down, and start to read for about 15 minutes. If something's bothering you, write it down in your pad and promise yourself you'll deal with it tomorrow.
After 15 minutes, turn off the light and try to relax. If needed, get one of those relaxation tapes, esp. if you can find one that does self-hypnosis. "Everything is purple in your mind's eye. You are getting more and more relaxed....."
OH MAN, I almost forgot the most IMPORTANT thing: MORNING cycle. Always get up the same exact time every morning. And at this point, make it 15 minutes earlier than normal. It will help you prepare for a better night's rest.
If after a week or so of this, if you aren't getting into a better cycle, it's time for some professional help. Go to the doctor.

Get up early morning, go for a jog, do some relaxation ex., (yoga, meditation), try out healthy eating, outdoor games, time with good friends, with good books, soft, nice music, get organised in all that you do........warm water bath in the evening (about 2-to-4 hrs before bed), healthy food in the right amount about 3-4 hrs before bed-time: relaxing music, good soothing ambience in bedroom and thereabouts -- after all that, if you can't sleep well: okay, repeat all that for a few days, and see, you are sure to sleep well thereafter!

try some chamomile or sleepy time tea. maybe a nice hot relaxing bath. if you have some melotonin that might help. try to do some meditation and clear your mind of the stresses. if none of these work and you have been having this issue for a while you may need to see your doc and see if they can either recomend or prescribe something to help you out until you can get back into the groove of sleeping again. hope that this helps
