I always make my "Rotel from Hell" dip at everyone's request - all my friends love it!! Take & brown 2lbs of ground beef or sausage in a large skillet. Place meat in crockpot, then add 2 large blocks of Velveeta cheese - I use the mild mexican one. Pour in 2 cans of rotel tomatos & a couple of tablespoons of taco sauce. Heat on low til melted together. Take the whole crockpot to the BBQ & it can be kept warm for all the guests. Serve with tortillia chips and salsa.

How about some baked beans?

SOUTHERN BAKED BEANS

1 lb ground beef
2 cans pork and beans
1 cup barbecue sauce
3/4 cup brown sugar (or more according to taste)
1 small onion, finely chopped

Brown ground beef and drain. Pour remaining ingredients into a large pot and let simmer for 30 minutes or until onion is somewhat tender.
No need to bake!

Or hot wings!!!!
DOWN SOUTH HOT WINGS

5 lbs. chicken wings
Louisiana brand hot sauce (only this brand will do)
dry Ranch dressing mix (2 packets)

Separate the drumettes and wings; discard the tips. Clean and marinate wings in hot sauce at least 1 hour or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350°F.

Empty wings and sauce into baking pan and sprinkle the top lightly with dry Ranch dressing seasoning (this makes a crust on the top of the wings that is delicious).

Bake at 350°F for about an hour or until wings are done thoroughly. Mix the other pack of Ranch dressing seasoning as directed for dipping.

I always bring this to BBQ's. I did it once and then EVERYONE expected it each time. Always a great hit, and very easy to make.

Fresh Cobb Loaf Dip

125 g butter
300 ml sour cream
8 rashers bacon
250 g frozen spinach
250 g cream cheese
6 spring onions
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/2 cups tasty cheese, grated
1 cob loaf

Lightly cook bacon and onion in butter, add spinach. Mix together sour cream and cheeses in a bowl and add to bacon and onion.

Cut a circle in top of cob loaf. Take out all bread and discard or reserve for another use. Fill empty loaf with mixture and place top back on.

Wrap three times in foil and cook for 2 hours in a moderately hot oven. Note: This is a hot dip. When served, remove lid of loaf and break it into pieces to scoop out dip. When lid is all gone, break pieces off side of loaf. I [do serve it cold. and serve with bread scooped out as dippers.

Slice finely a little bit of onion rings, mash the canned tuna , mix with mayo and add black and white pepper. No salt. Bring along Nabisco salted biscuit to dip in. Enjoy :)!

Or:

Fry shallots in the oil and pour oil in several bottles. Use it to brush on meat and seafood. Very fragrant and makes alot of difference to a typical barbecued meal.

Couple of ideas
Bring a fruit salad, (with a hint of rhum in it). use melon, pear, apple, pineapple, orange and grapes.
Make an aluminum pouch with popcorn inside to put on the bbq.
Buy a pack of marshmellows and skewer sticks.
