Is it an indisputable fact is that all the religions of the world put together not managed to kill as many as have been in the name of atheism in the past few decades ?
Try counting the contributions of just 3 tyrannical regimes of atheists / so-called "supermen" / Nietzscheans - Stalin, Mao and Hitler who have killed almost 100 million through their tyrannical regimes. Don't even begin to count Pol Pot or the father-son duo of Kim Sung il and Kim Jong il. Is the data heavily skewed against atheists who attack religion ?

Even those who hide behind "religion" for their actions are primarily motivated by land / territorial / ethnic / tribal interests but simply use religion as a shield for their activities. Take the Palestinians and israelis for example.
Hitler was a Nietzschean anti-religionist who pretended at first to be Christian in order to rally before his intentions were disclosed as a revert to a religion of gods or supermen with him as the high priest.

Sean, the point of abortion killing tens of millions "legally" is excellent. Religion could never conceive that one.

No, Hitler was not Christian in word or action (except he claimed to be). He was a Nieztschean atheist who when in power later promoted a return to the pagan Teutonic religion (worship of Ostara) in order to replace Christianity.

Hitler gave himself a "Christian" cover. he couldn't replace Christianity with Nietzsche and Ostara in one day. That was simply the deceiving path he took. German pastors who saw where he was going with national Socialism knew what he was upto. Read-up on history and not just the leftie version of it, kiddie.

Kim Jong Il has now given himself a "religious" cover, creating his own religion after a lifelong of learning that atheism doesn't really have too many adherents. So he's made a cult centered around himself. It is still just a cunning atheist acting on ideas.

Stalin had his picture framed in every Soviet home for the same reason, he simply replaced Christianity with adulation centered around himself.
When will atheists ever admit this ?
the path that humanists have taken promoting a new religion shows the depths to which atheists plumb in order to get adherents, creating religions of their own choosing.

Atheism has killed an estimated 4 billion people in the last one hundred years alone.
2 billion were killed by war or just straight out killed by their own leaders. The other 2 billion are the estimated number of abortions.

Edit: I put my edit at the top so you'll read it. Abandon this argument now before you look really foolish. It is irrelevent how YOU would classify these killers religiously. YOU personally decided that Hitler was not a Christian, even though he claimed to be one. Under YOUR rules of this ugly question, the deaths caused by him then cannot be labeled as "religiously motivated" .
It's clear you would say that about all the murderer-christians in history (that they weren't true Christians because they killed, thus should not be included in the count of people killed by religion). Your attempt at a trap in logic is pathetically transparent.
Essentially, you are removing all the followers of religion from the equation, and simply putting up the CONCEPT of religion to make your comparisons.
So, what has killed more people: the concept of religion, or atheists? The only side that can even land a striking blow is the Atheists. It's like saying, "Guns don't kill people. People kill people."
I CAN go on. I see several more fallacies that you lean on.
So, if Hitler was Pagan instead of Christian, did you forget your original question, which described "all religions put together"? D'oh!
Go sit at the kiddie-table.

Hey, they weren't atheist. Hitler was a 100% full-blooded aryan christian gulag manifest destiny taker.
Seriously, you seem to overlook the genocide of the natives that occurred right here, sweeping both the American continents at the hands of holier-than-thou Europeans. We usually try to forget such horrible events that hit so close to home.
And don't forget: the death toll from religious violence rises as we speak. All parties involved in warfare today can be considered to be doing it out of religious motivations.

Both Stalin and Mao were killing in the name of the (capital S) State or (capital C) Communism, effectively religions both. And Hitler was a Catholic.
Pol Pot was against the educated, so he probably killed a disproportionate amount of atheists.
And the Kims deified themselves. Are you an atheist if you decide that there are no gods more important than you?

Atheists don't "kill in the name of atheism." These are simply evil, oppressive leaders and regimes that also happen to have been atheistic. What do you think, they invoke the cry of "no god" when doing their evil deeds?
It's religion, and ONLY RELIGION, that invokes the faith of it's followers in a supernatural deity as their motivation for killing. Lets not forget the millions of native north, south and central American cultures that were slaughtered in the name of Catholic conquest during the theocratic rule of Europe in the 16th, 17th, and 18th centuries.
BTW - Hitler was a theist. Get your facts straight before making inane arguments.
(sean - are you saying that theists DON'T have abortions?)

This is a loaded question. On the one hand you're convinced those who weren't your brand of theist were therefore atheist and they killed in the name of atheism when they really killed cos they had mustaches and they like killing.
Fred Phelps has a list of how many god’s killed on his site.

What ARE you talking about? Try read history, all the wars in the name of God, whichever religion; pogroms against those accused of being witches; native americans wiped out; the crusades......I don't have a problem with Jesus, or Allah--just those who claim to represent them.

It is not a fact at all. Stalin and the like killed not because of their religious beliefs (or lack thereof), but for other reasons. Religions, however, have killed hundreds of thousands in the name of religion.

In logic, what you are stating is called "confusing correlation and causation".
a) These people killed millions
b) These people were (arguably) atheists, therefore
c) These people killed millions BECAUSE they were atheists.
Which is pure nonsense.
