Give me some good answers with a bit of reasoning unlike the answer "because it's God words" which doesn't mean anything.

Miriam, I told you not to use that answer because it doesn't have any basis or reasoning. Didn't you read? Can't you at least come up with a decent answer?

mad_boy_funky, that's your opinion which doesn't have anything to do with whether it's true or not. It may be true to you and some other people but so is everything else.

J, just as I thought. It always comes back to faith, which obviously can't be proven wrong. But on the other hand it also can't be proven right. You can't have it one way.

I don't know. What makes my college history book true other than some people say so?

Revelation of truth comes from God. The Bible teaches and I have found it is true that those who love the truth will seek the truth and to those God gives a gift called faith and through faith comes revelation and a personal relationship with God.

Well, let's look at what the Bible says about itself:
From Second Timothy 3:16, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."
In Second Peter 1:16-21, it says, " For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

John 3:34 For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure. (NASB)
John 14:16,17 And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Parakletos), that He may abide in you forever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
The Scriptures above promise that I have the Holy Spirit when I believe in Jesus Christ. I have the Holy Spirit who lives in me and prays and works through me. So the Bible is true.

I've been following science for the past five years or so as it studies the bible. So far they've proved everything back to Noah and just recently started looking for the truth about him.
I read a few years ago about quantum physics explaining Genesis but I haven't read anything else about it since.

Belief in the words of the bible is a matter of faith. If you already don't believe in the Living God, then the bible will have no meaning for you. I hate to say it, but if you're not a member of the club (as a believer) there will be no truth for you. I hate to be that simplistic about it but that is the way of it. If you truly seek the Lord, His holy spirit will open your eyes, and you will see the truth. A non believer is blinded to this truth.

When you make the choice to believe in your maker, ask Jesus into your heart and be willing to follow and obey Him out your faith in Him, God gives you the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that indwells you that convicts you of your sins, gives you understanding of God's Word, that otherwise seems foolishness and who gives joy, peace and comfort that surpasses all human understanding. I don't expect you just to believe what I or anyone else says, as the Word of God says you will think His Word is foolish until the Holy Spirit convicts you otherwise. Your choice, your eternal future that depends on it!! In Christ's love

It is in fact not true, as anyone with a shovel and the ability to count can easily determine. The annual layers of the Antarctic ice cap go back hundreds of thousands of years. No flood. There are hundreds of other errors.
