If the job just takes over your life...I would recommend you find another job, it's not worth throwing away your leisure time over.

Put your right hand on your left shoulder. Put your left hand on your right shoulder. Now squeeze! That's a virtual hug. Feel better?

First of all, you're not a pathetic loser - you have a job!

Second, there are lots of people who work weekends. Or graveyard shift, which is even worse. Some people don't even get two days off in a row - my dad used to get Mondays and Thursdays off. (And worked nights). You should go out when you do have time off, and that's how you'll find people with the same schedule as you. Go to the park or a bookstore or a coffee shop, or join a 24-hour gym. Remember there are people who don't work at all, like retired people, new moms, people who are sick... No matter how weird your schedule is, you'll find somebody you can spend time with and something you can do.

You are not a loser. Start looking for another job that gives you more time off. There are a lot of jobs that are 5 days on and 2 off, with paid sick time, holidays and medical insurance. Don't accept a job you are unhappy in.

Keep your present job only until you find another. Go to the monster board on line and find a different more acceptable job for your self. Stop pitying yourself and do some thing about it!

If it werent for holidays I wouldnt get any days off.I have been working the last six months averaging 75 hours a week.I havent even thought about going on a date or God forbid having some me time.I get up go to work go home go to sleep and start over.I do get an hour here and there to do the necessities.Cash check,go food shopping etc etc.I hardly see my dog and cat except to feed and water them.I spend an hour online just to wind down after work.So I know how you feel.

Aww..... Sweetie Don't cry. Everyone goes through jobs like that at some time or another. Yeah it sucks..... Big Donkey you know what. But its not forever. I hope you have ambitions, like college? Call on you friends to come over for a little while. Watch a movie or something. You don't always have to go out. If they won't come over then they are just jackass' and not true friends. I have home girls that call me al the time and want me to come over cause they are lonely because they men overseas.... Guess what I do? Bee line right on over so they have a shoulder to cry on if they need it. Cheer up. It's not forever.
