I dont believe God's grace will do everything for me. The responsibility is on me to do what I can in this life. I meditate to focus myself on the reality that I am a soul living in a body & from that foundation, everything else follows. Meditation is where I find my answers.

I see meditation as stopping and remembering. Most of the day we are forgetful of God's Grace and it is in prayer and meditation that we remember and can be thankful. The benefit is to us from prayer and meditation.

The correct scripture is "God's grace is sufficient for you" the correct meaning for Grace is "unmerited favor" which is when we have His grace we have not done anything to earn HIs favor. Jesus did it all for us. But unless you are born again (receive Jesus as your saviour) you will continue
to live in sin because all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, It does not mean that you can just do as you please no matter what. There is Good and there is Evil. God is Good and satan (the devil) is Evil, so if we are not serving God then we are serving satan. Tough but true!
As for the meditation, the Bible says," Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy(His) sight, oh Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Psalm 19:14.
When we mediate, we think about how God loves us and sent Jesus to die for our sins, so we could come back into right fellowship with our heavenly Father our creator. We also can speak the word of God out loud. This is a type of mediation as it builds our faith in who He is and who we are in Him (Christ Jesus) To get to know He who died for us, it is an awesome journey. We were made to have fellowship with God our Father and how do you get to know somebody? You spend time with them right? well we can spend time in the word of God, and it is amazing and rewarding and that is the real meaning of meditation.

We should meditate because its an experience which we need to enjoy ourselves and we can do so only when we actually flow thru the process of meditation. Meditation is a personal journey in the inner realms of our internal world which finally manifests into the golden Universe. Its Gods Grace again that he allows us to go thru the experience on our own....because thats one path towards reaching out to him as well. God which means tranquil, peace, eternal energy...is what we experience as the joys/fruits of meditation. Om...Om....Om...

Having just come down from doing my morning Zazen, I can tell you that the purpose of meditation is to meditate.
'Grace' will go 'pop' when it's ready.

What religion mixes God's Grace with Meditation?
Buddhists meditate, but it has nothing to do with praying or God.. it is to help keep themselves centered, relaxed, and focused on the here and now. Keep themselves aware of their surroundings, but without feeling attachment. This helps them attain peace, it is not a prayer.
For the most part, most sects of Buddhism do not believe in a creator God, or a God who offers salvation or grace...
In Christianity, they pray...
Can you elaborate, your connection, please?

Where did it say God's grace will do everything for us?
And if it does somewhere, you probably would have to accept it first. It's like the lottery would solve all your needs but you would have to buy the winning ticket first.
