Cemetaries would really be a resting place (Chairs instead of crosses on cemetaries).

I'VE ASKED MYSELF THE SAME THING FOR ALMOST 8 YEARS!!!!!

I came to the conclusion it would be probably be a syringe-like symbol, as in lethal injection.

I thought about the chair, but then I thought, "Naw, too big."
Then I thought the chair (if used) could be replaced with an electricity-like symbol, like the S used by the rock band KISS.
If that were the case, then people wouldn't do the crucifix gesture as UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT but rather the electric gesture as UP, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN.

Finally, I also considered that, if the case be firing squad, people would resort to wearing a bullet around their neck instead of a crucifix.

I never really considered the cemetery angle, though.
Good question!

If jebus died during modern times, I am assuming none of his followers would wear an electric chair around their necks.

That's the best question I've read all day. Like the Bill Hicks bit about crosses. He's talking about all these Christians wearing crosses and telling everyone Jesus coming back. Then he says "If Jesus comes back do you think he ever wants to see another F'in cross?"

Ya know that certainly is a possibility. Guess we won't find out because when he comes back again, he isn't coming alone this time.
You see Jesus was the son of the God of Love and the cross is just an L that was broken and put back together t ...
( h = chair or thrown of God - maybe that could be worn around the neck. )

What you fail to understand is that Jesus changed the symbol of the cross (once a sign of execution) into a sign of triumph and victory.

"For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. " - 1 Corinthians 1:18
