Is it a distortion in one particular spot in your vision or does it seem that the whole image is moving? It may be caused by hypertension. Have your blood pressure checked soon. I would also recommend that you go see an optometrist hypertension can accelerate glaucoma by raising the pressure of the fluid in your eye. It might also be a blood vessel in the retina that has weakened and it pulsates when your blood pressure is up. No matter what the reason, seek medical advice.

Could it be due to your meds? My husband, who had a heart "issue", not a heart attack, now says that he can see his heartbeat or pulse in his eyes too. His pressure was high when he was in the ER, but previously was normal. Now he is taking several meds, one is related to lowering his bp. I told him that he should ask his cardiologist about this but he forgot to ask. He tends to dramatize things. I will be watching your question for further information.

At just any random object or when you are looking at the object for too long?
