I was just reading it, and they all look white, except the egyptians.

They aren't, from your statement I assume they are white in the book you read.

People in the Bible were Middle Eastern and looked a lot like what people from the Middle East look today, various shades from light to dark.

I have seen books with either or both light skinned and dark skinned people.

Since the Bible was obviously written by Middle Eastern people it is not hard to figure out who is full of trash in these answers.

You were just reading "it"? Which "it" were you reading specifically, and how does one "it" mean that all biblical figures are white in children's bible story books?

That being said my guess is because the publishers told the artist's to make them white. I'm sure that if you read children's bible story books from other countries they characters would be other colours...maybe even plaid.

Biblical figures look like the Royalty of the country the artist lived in when painting them. I do not know why, but I guess it's a way to stay alive, and reflect the holiness of the country the king lives in.

Man is the reason, plain and simple. The same reason that Jesus is portrayed as blonde haired and blue eyed when it's quite certain He wasn't due to the fact that He was Jewish.
