I also paid $2000 for my furniture. I do not think that I should tip but I do not want to be unfair.

The $2,000 for the furniture goes to the furniture company.
The $59 fee is mostly for fuel and other travel expenses (part of that being the money a delivery person makes, which is very little.)
A tip for GOOD service is the norm. These people make very little money, and the money you already spent is (mostly) not going to them. However, if they provide lousy service (traipse dirt into the house, don't remove boxes, act rude, etc.) then a tip is not necessary. And if there's a problem with the furniture, you don't want to leave a sour taste in the mouth of a delivery man who may have to return to exchange your furniture.
$5 for each delivery person to have them leave your home happy is not a lot after all you've paid.

No tip is ever mandatory.

Tipping is a way of saying "Thank You" to someone who is working hard to give you exceptional service. Those who provide services to others are rarely compensated well.

The delivery fee is NOT paid to the deliverers; it is paid to the owners.

If someone grunts and sweats to professionally deliver your 2K furniture, with a smile, for Pete's sake shell out an extra few bucks!

If that same someone grudgingly and sullenly delivers your 2K furniture, and then holds out a gruff hand in expectation of a tip, do not be intimidated.

No one, in any service industry, should ever expect a tip.

Tipping is kind. You do want to be kind, don't you?

No, you don't need to tip. I paid $2000 for my furniture as well. I did not tip. This is a job for them, and a decent paying one at that. I don't think they expect a tip. Maybe some water? :)

I don't think you should have to because you already paid a great deal amount of money and did you know that there is a hidden charge of a tip already. I found this out when I bought new furniture myself.

If the delivery personell work for the store then they should not be allowed to accept tips. You can tip a private delivery service. I know it is a lot to pay to begin with, but they seem to expect a tip too.

Unfair???????? LMAO!!!!!! No, its not mandatory. And unless you got the hots for one of them you shouldn't give them anything extra! They're getting paid to do a job. The delivery fee you paid already goes for fuel & their wages.

Point of tipping is it is optional as a gratitude but as you have paid for delivery then it is not like they are doing you a favour.

No tipping is not neccessary.
