I once applied for a job, and a year later they rang me up and offerred me another job.
Generally there is a process for employing someone. Firstly they have to decide who they want. Then they have to get approval from a senior manager, who may be on holiday, sick or just busy, so they might have to wait a little while for that.
Then they won't reject you, but might choose someone else. I once applied for a job, and afterwards they rang me up to tell me that I didn't get the job, but wanted to say how good they thought I was, it was just the person who got the job had 20 years experience and I didn't.
Now they will ring the person's referrees, but that might take a little time. Afterwards, they will make the offer, which might take more time. Then they will let other people know.
So all you can do is wait and see. There is little point in ringing up the company because it will make you seem very pushy. A week is not that long a time, so keep hoping. After 2 weeks you would assume that you don't have the job.

All the others are right, if the place you interviewed at a large company, you probably won't get a call back right away since they are interviewing others. I've come to find that if you interview at a place and they hire you right away, it kind of puts an air of desperation on them. At least you know if they do call you, it's because you really are qualified for the job and a good candidate, so you can have pride in that. Good luck.

They maybe still interviewing and once they have a handful of prospects too many people are involved in the hiring decision.
Sometimes the job is offered to someone else. But if this person does not accept, or is no longer available, they may come back to you.
If they want to contact you, they will.
Keep your fingers crossed. In the meantime, keep looking!
Remember: what is meant to be yours, no one will take it awayl
Good luck and keep on trucking!

if it is a bigger corporation or even a small one they will be seeing at least 20 different people an they have to narrow it down to a couple of people then review there applications or resumes then they call someone and say they have it it usually take 2 to 3 weeks depending on how many people applied

They say that if your interview lasts longer then thirty minutes that's a pretty good sign. So if your interview did then you might hear from them soon.
