It's virtually impossible to get a good job at nine, but you can make a decent living if you learn to hustle. Find out if/when your parents or neighbors are having a garage sale, and offer to sell baked goods there.

Learn how to burn CDs and sell them to people for $5 a pop. Pet sitting, plant sitting, dog walking.

Since you're a girl, and young, lawn mowing might not be your thing, but people hate pulling weeds. You can find out if someone needs help with that, or maybe keeping their lawn/garden watered.

Or you could start a "consulting service" (something I did when I was 11). Find people who want babysitting, lawn mowing, house sitting jobs etc, and match them with people who need babysitters, house sitters etc. Charge a fee to one or both parties. You can print out flyers and business cards on the computer.

I have never known anyone that made any reasonable money from a lemonade stand.
House cleaning, washing/folding clothes, babysitting, party clean up, are some possibilities that could provide some form of continuing income. Because you are limited on transportation consider talking to neighbors about some of the above. Remember to keep getting repeat business you will need to do a very good job.

that's very good that you want a good job at only nine years old...

but the truth is, there aren't many options.

once you're maybe 12 or 13, you'll have more open doors.

for now...lemonade stands work?

You can't really get a good job, but if you're looking to earn some cash; try babysitting, dog walking, asking for chore money, and maybe try asking your parents if any of their friends have an odd job for you (for example, house work, filing papers, cleaning house, etc.)

why don't u stop making up fake questions?

i am sure a 9 yr old will get on yahoo and ask about jobs..

but how can a 9 yr old get a job?

he/she can't get a job in real world legally except study hard, that's his/her job at the moment and the boss would be the parents and the teacher.

well I started work at age 10 - my first job was at the World Trade Center in Dallas Texas. I sold Carpet - Now I don't know how my parents arranged all that, because apparently I was too young to work but I did work, and all. But I don't think that kind of thing would be legal today - that was a long time ago.

I would do things like find things to buy and sell, you can buy things to sell at yard sales, or at school, you can do art work and sell your at, you can find all kinds of creative things to do. You need to be asking your parents, not us. Your parents need to be involved. Tell them you want to work.

Honestly you should play like other kids, you'll have plenty of time in your life to work. Enjoy being a kid. I wish I would have done that and I regretted working through my childhood, and not having one. I think you would regret it also. Play and enjoy being a kid.

Make cool artistic bracelets and sell it to your friends for $5 bucks, dog sit, clean someones house, wash someones car, or mow someones lawn. It's also money under the table.

Open a Kettle popcorn stand on your front lawn, a small one, or have a miniature garage sale of all the stuff you don't want.

Try it.

You can babysit for a neighbor's baby. Do errands for the elderly or for those who are temporarily indisposed. Sell lemonade like it used to be in the old days when kids, during summer, stand by the roadside or in front of their houses to sell lemonade to motorists. There are many ways to earn income, even by little girls like you.
