Who first discovered that ADHD is hereditary?

I need to know who it was and what year they discovered it.

I don't think it was just a single discovery. It happened with many new studies over many years.

About 1980, as a wife and mother, I was very aware that both my husband and my son exhibited the adhd symptoms - drove me crazy with 2 of them in the same house!
